บันทึกการติดตั้งภาษาไทยบน Fedora Core 4 |

ก่อนอื่นดาวน์โหลดฟอนต์จาก
ftp://linux.thai.net/pub/ThaiLinux/software/thai-ttf/thai-ttf-0.4.3.tar.gz

เราจะได้ไฟล์ thai-ttf-0.4.3.tar.gz มา จากนั้นให้เราทำการแตกไฟล์ด้วยคำสั่ง
tar xvfz thai-ttf-0.4.3.tar.gz

เราจะได้ไดเรคเทอรี thai-ttf-0.4.3 จากนั้นให้เราเข้าไปครับ
cd thai-ttf-0.4.3

จากนั้นให้เราสร้างไดเรคเทอรี thai-ttf ใน /usr/share/fonts/ ครับ ดังนี้
mkdir /usr/share/fonts/thai-ttf

จากนั้นทำสำเนาไฟล์ทั้งหมดที่อยู่ในไดเรคเทอรี thai-ttf.0.4.3 ไปเก็บไว้ใน /usr/share/fonts/thai-ttf/ ครับ
cp *.* /usr/share/fonts/thai-ttf/

พอทำสำเนาเสร็จแล้ว เราก็ใช้คำสั่ง chkfontpath ซึ่งสามารถที่จะเพิ่มพาธ หรือ ลบพาธ ของฟอนต์ด้วยคำสั่งนี้ครับ

chkfontpath --add /usr/share/fonts/thai-ttf

พอทำเสร็จแล้วก็ล็อกเอาท์ก่อนนะครับ แล้วก็ล็อกอินเข้ามาใหม่ ต่อมาก็ปรับแต่งเว็บบราวเซอร์ไฟร์ฟอกซ์
สำหรับการปรับแต่งไฟร์ฟอกซ์ ก็ให้ไปที่ เมนู Edit => Preference => General => Fonts & Colors แล้วก็ปรับแต่งดังรูปครับ จะสามารถแสดงภาษาไทยได้สวยงาม
